KEJORA: Open Studio + Exhibition at Hikayat Penang

An ongoing project, KEJORA is a collection of illustrated microfiction rooted in Southeast Asian cultures and issues. These tales explore the cracks and dissonances in our shifting societies. They ask us to consider what we look away from in our everyday lives, to imagine kinder, gentler futures.

Intricate ink paintings are exhibited alongside stories, sketches, and works-in-progress. Come meet the artist, share your tales, and explore the creation process behind the works. I’ll be painting and writing in the space daily.

Originals and gallery-quality prints are available for purchase. Proceeds help fund an upcoming residency in Iceland.

This exhibition is held in partnership with Hikayat and in conjunction with Open Studios Penang. Many of these pieces were completed during the Southeast Asian Artist Residency with the generous support of Rimbun Dahan. Giclée prints were proofed and made under the supervision of master printer Wesley Wong at Ilford Galerie MY.

14 - 16 June 2019, 11.00am to 5.00pm daily
Hikayat, 226 Beach Street, George Town.

See you there!
